TANZANIAN EMBASSIES ABROAD GENERALLY IGNORE THEIR FELLOW CITIZENS

The provided information below are the efforts of the Tanzanian Embassy in U.S.A.

However, my personal experiences in the U.S.A.  and  SPAIN where I visited  at one time for academic purposes were very disappointing; particularly concerning the attitude of the Embassy Staff to its Citizens visiting those countries.

I reported by email immediately I visited Madrid, Spain in 2004 for a one month study visit.  At the time,  the Ambassador was His Excellency Juma Voster  Mwapachu.  However the Tanzanian Embassy, which at the time was situated in Paris, France totally ignored my message.   They did not even offer a welcome  to me who was in a totally foreign country [which neither used Kiswahili nor English].

I reported likewise by email once I arrived in Washington DC in 2008 for a two semester study at Washington College of Law at the American University and received a similar response.   At the time, the Ambassador was His Excellency  Ombeni  Sefue.  Looks like all the Embassy staff out there on the diaspora keep on thinking that once a Tanzanian contacts them, then they will be in dire economic circumstances  and needed immediate assistance every which way.

Personally,  I am really disappointed by the attitude of fellow Tanzanians in Embassies abroad.
